Ronald D. Siegel, PsyD. He is clinical assistant professor of psychology at Harvard Medical School, where he has taught for more than 30 years.
It is also practicing Mindfulness for many years and member of the steering committee of the Institute for Meditation and Psychotherapy as well as forming the same. Teaches international level on the implementation of the practice of Mindfulness in psychotherapy and other fields, and maintains private practice clinic in Lincoln, Massachusetts. Dr. Siegel is coauthor of self-treatment guide: “Back Sense: A Revolutionary Approach to Halting the Cycle of Chronic Back Pain”, integrating Eastern and Western approaches to treat chronic back pain; Text is coeditor critically acclaimed, “Mindfulness and Psychotherapy”, now in its second edition in the United States. He is author of a book for the general public called “The Solution Mindfulness”, coeditor with Christopher Germer of “Wisdom and Compassion in Psychotherapy: Deepening Mindfulness in Clinical Practice”, prefaced by His Holiness the Dalai Lama and co-author of a new volume, “Sitting Together: Essential Skills for Mindfulness-Based Psychotherapy”.
It is also a regular contributor to other professional publications and is co-director of the Annual Conference of the School of Medicine at Harvard Medical School on Meditation and Psychotherapy.
