In compliance with its function like teachers’ Association of programs based on Mindfulness, AEMind, in the Special Meeting of July 9, 2015, by means of its article number 27, it creates specific sections of every program, in order to organize its activities and to promote the support and the participation of its members.
The sections are aimed to look over the fulfillment of the standards of formation and good practices of the represented programs, what constitutes a priority inside the AEMind ends, as well as facilitate communities of learning and exchange between the teachers.
Really, in the Article 5 of the Articles of association it are exhibited that for the fulfillment of the ends of the association will be conducted between other activities:
- To adhere to the good practice guidelines in the teaching and application of Mindfulness and Compassion recognized internationally.
- Creation of national networks of expert organizations in Mindfulness and Compassion to develop documents of ethical consensus on the national standards of quality of the programs and formations and the good practice guidelines / codes.
- Creation of Teachers’ Sections of Mindfulness and Compassion of the different protocols.
In the article 32, paragraph 3, between the requisites of admission as Member Associates Are been added in addition to the already approved ones, the following ones: … “2) That have a university academic qualifications (Bachelor, grade, etc.) in health or education sciences or, that credit its official formation like teachers / instructing / teacher’s training certificates of the programs MBCT (Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy), MSC (Mindful Self Compassion Program) and/or MBSR (Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction), fulfilling with all the requisites of the standardized pathways of the above mentioned protocols. It is compulsory that the above mentioned formation is endorsed and recognized by the original training entities that have developed the above mentioned protocols and standards.
The Directorate will be able to suggest to the Assembly incorporating associates who are teachers / instructing /teacher’s training certificates other MBI`s (Mindfulness Based Interventions) that are developing at national and international level, whenever they fulfill with the requisites and national standards that are approved by the National Commission of Standards of MIndfulness Teachers’ Training or similar”.
Also in the Article 28 it is explained that the election of the different coordinators of the Sections will be carried out in accordance with the following criteria:
A) The coordinator of the section will be initially proposed by the Directorate and approved in Assembly. The duration of its position will be three extendable years:

Teachers’ section MBCT: Coordinating Estrella Fernández Rodríguez. Certified teacher of MBCT for the CMRP of the University of Bangor. Responsible for the Itinerary for Teachers’ MBCT Training in Spain.

Article 29. Constitution and composition of the Sections:
The Sections will be constituted by agreement of the General Assembly that it will have to designate in the same act of the constitution of the Section, a territorial Coordinator. This designation will cease after three years, term in which the Section will choose the Coordinator , according to the previous article.
The Sections will organize themselves concerning a territory, a professional or scientific subject-matter, or will represent the teachers certified officially in the main protocols of Mindfulness and Compassion standardized and recognized internationally.
Members of the Sections will be able to be the AEmind member associates, of honor and titular, and that in case of the sections of teachers certified in MBCT, MSC and MBSR fulfill the requisites raised in the article 32, paragraph 3, of admission of associates, and of the same form for any other MBI (Mindfulness Based Intervention) who is accepted in the future.
Article 30. Functions of the Sections:
The Sections will have these goals:
A) To encourage, in accordance with the proposals of the General Assembly of the Association an the Directorate, the scientific knowledge and/or the progress of the professional work inside the field of interest on which they are structured.
B) To improve the professional communication in the different sectorial areas.
C) To propose to the Directorate actions directed to achieve the goals exhibited in the paragraphs A and B of the same article.
D) To defend the fulfillment of the standards, quality of the programs and good practices of the Mindfulness and Compassion programs represented.
